An interesting Comic/Manga we mentioned in an earlier post. Called Zuko’s Story has just recently been released, the book covers Zuko’s banishment from the Fire Nation and early days of hunting the Avatar, an interesting story to tell to be sure. I just recently got my hands on the book and should be reading through it soon (i’ll post a review once I do).
Recently MTV was able to talk to Dave Roman (The Author) you can read the full interview here:
MTV Interview With Dave Roman Author of Zukos Story
A couple of really interesting things I picked up from the interview.
- Roman a huge fan of the show himself was excited to have this opportunity to explore Zuko who “Was on a hopeless quest with only his Uncle Iroh as his support system”
- The Last Panel in the Comic leaves off at the first point you see Zuko in the show.
- “The Blue Spirit” Origin Story is also going to be delved into much more deeply.
- Roman had a fairly close relationship with the original writers of Avatar The Last Airbender
So far the book seems to be a pretty good read in anticipation of the movie, you can order it here:

As short as the other books? Sozin’s Comet and the other Zuko book?
Great Fan Art.
