Here is the list of Unresolved Questions from Avatar The Last Airbender.
Iroh’s trip to the Spirit World and His past
Iroh is a fan favorite character, he is loved because of his amazing Wisdom and Advice and also because he is one of the most powerful Firebenders in the World. Despite this we know very little about his past. What we know:
- Iroh wasn’t always so good, he used to be a General of The Fire Nation Army
- He was the only person before Azula to break through the outer walls of Ba Sing Se, He did this during his 600 day siege of Ba Sing Se
- During this Siege His Son, Liu Ten, was killed. This loss caused him to abandon the siege
- It has been mentioned that Iroh went to the Spirit World, Zhao says ” I’ve heard rumors about your journey into the Spirit World” and Iroh sees Aang on Fang when no one else does.
- Iroh found the Ancient Sun Warriors, he was given the secret of Firebending by Ran and Shao.
What we don’t know:
- The timeline of his past is all over the place, when did he meet the Sun Warriors and go to the Spirit World.- We can only presume this happened after the death of his son
- How did he get into the Spirit world ?, from what we know only the Avatar can go in alone and we see Sokka get dragged in by Hei Bei.-My guess Spiritual Tea or he was brought into the Spirit World to get over the Death of Liu Ten.
- Iroh said he studied WaterBenders and this helped him to develop Lightning Redirection, When did his happen ?
These Questions, More than Likely won’t be answered in Korra as he will be long dead. So the only hope of finding out more about Iroh’s past is if more Web Comics like the “Escape From The Spirit World” are made.
Toph and her Parents
Toph left her parents, without their permission, to help Aang, But apart from the letter she sent them we don't know if she made up with her parents
Toph is another character who is widely loved, despite this she doesn’t go through much character development, her main story was about her leaving her controlling parents to be free and see the world. In The Runaway she reveals that she still cares about her parents, and sends them a letter to tell them her true feelings and apologize for just leaving. This is the last we hear about Toph’s parents.
Fans widely presume that after the end of the show she goes to see them and make up, her parents finally accept the real Toph, who is not helpless. This has the chance to be resolved in Korra if there are indeed flashbacks to the Avatar The Last Airbender characters.
Lightning generation and Redirection
Lightning as a sub category of Firebending is one of the coolest things in the whole Avatar Universe, but there are some things we don’t know about this amazing for of Bending:
- Can only the Fire Nation Royal Family generate Lightning ? we only see Iroh, Ozai, Azula generate lightning and we know that Zuko has the ability to do it, these are all in the Fire Nation Royal family. Also Zuko despite knowing the theory behind Lightning generation does not attempt to teach it too Aang. Iroh says “Only a select few firebenders can separate these energies” .
- Zuko in Bitter work is being thought How to generate Lightning by Iroh, but he fails everytime, Iroh says “You will not be able to master lightning until you have dealt with the turmoil inside you”. By the end of the show Zuko has dealt with his inner turmoil and found his destiny, Can he now generate Lightning. This could be resolved in Korra if their is a flashback to Zuko
Sokka’s Space Sword and Boomeraang
Sokka with his newly made Sword, Made from a meteorite. Lost during the Battle of Wulong Forest along with His Boomerang.
Sokka says himself that he is “The boomeraang guy” , he loves his weapons almost as much(if not more) as his friends. He has lost his Boomeraang many times, but it always came back. Until Himself, Suki and Toph attacked Ozai’s air fleet, Sokka lost both weapons saving himself and Toph. Will he get them back ? or will they come up again in Korra.
Aang’s influence on his classmates
Aang as Kuzon went to School in The Fire Nation, while there he thought his classmates to express themselves ,But did his influence have a lasting effect into their future.
While Aang was in a Fire Nation School he realized that the kids were not “evil” like most of the soliders and Ozai, he saw how the school brainwashed them into thinking the Firenation was good and helping the other nations. While there he threw a Dance Party and thought his classmates to express themselves. Will his classmates grow up to be like the other Fire Nation people or will they grow up Good ?
Swampbenders
Due and Tho are Two Swampbenders from The Foggy Swamp tribe, They are Waterbenders but are unknown to The Northern and Southern Water Tribes.
Aang and his friends are drawn to a Swamp, while there they discover The Foggy Swamp Tribe, a small tribe of waterbenders. This tribe is completely unknown to both the southern and Northern Tribe. Where did they come from ?
Did a group of benders from the Northern or Southern Tribe break off to start their own tribe? They have developed a new style of Waterbending called “Foggy Swamp Style”
Ursa’s Fate and Her role in getting Ozai the birthright
Ursa, the biggest mysteries of Avatar revolve around her, Is she still alive ? what did she do to save Zuko and get Ozai to Fire Lord ?
Ursa’s fate
The biggest and most widely disputed question of Avatar, Is Ursa Alive or not ? and the question that link to that, If she is alive why did she not reveal herself to Zuko ?
Here is what we know:
- In a dream Zuko hears Azula say ” Sleep, Just Like Mother !” in an evil way ,suggesting she is dead, But this is just a dream
- Ursa wakes up Zuko, tells him she loves him and goes away, suggesting she was banished but still alive.
- Ozai tells Zuko,During the eclipse that Ursa was banished for her role in the death of Azulon. This could be a lie that Ozai told to get Zuko to stay until after the eclipse
- In the series finale Zuko goes to see Ozai in Prison and demands Ozai tell him where Ursa is. This strongly suggests that Ursa is still alive, why would they end the series with this question only to find out she is dead later.
There are Rumors that we will see a flashback in Avatar The Legend Of Korra of Zuko finding Ursa.
Ursa’s role in Azulon’s death and getting Ozai the Birthright
When Ozai suggested to Azulon that he be given the Birthright, to the throne, after the death of Iroh’s son Liu Ten, Azulon demanded that he feel the loss of his first son. Ozai was going to Kill Zuko until Ursa stepped in to protect her son. What she did is unknown But What we do know is that the result is that Azulon died soon after, Ozai was given the birthright by Azulon, Zuko was saved and Ursa was Killed or banished.
Ozai tells Zuko that Ursa committed “vicious, treasonous things” the night Azulon died, this suggests she killed Azulon or was involved in his death.
The Question is What did Ursa do during the time when Azulon died and Ozai was given the birthright ?
Dragon Egg
In The Firebending Masters, After Zuko and Aang do The Dancing Dragon a pedestal rises out of the ground. Zuko picks up the Egg shaped Golden artifact, he says “It feels almost alive”. The Two Dragons Ran and Shao ,while their genders have not been confirmed, may be of opposite genders. This could suggest that the artifact is a Dragon Egg, Ran and Shao’s egg.
Does this mean the Dragons won’t be extinct after Ran and Shao die ?
Other
They were the biggest questions left unanswered from Avatar, here are some more that don’t inspire as much discussion
-Jet and Longshot, did Longshot put Jet out of his misery?
-Did Xin Fu and Master Yu ever make it out of the metal prison
-Does Chit Sang leave his criminal past behind and become good
-Will Sky Bisons and Winged Lemurs go extinct when Appa and Momo die ?
-Where was Chong and the Nomads during Sozin’s Comet ?
In Conclusion
These unanswered questions do not have any negative impact on Avatar as a whole, these questions inspire discussion and gets everyone thinking, While we all want them to be answered , Some may be in Avatar The Legend Of Korra, If they are not answered we can still have great discussions and debates on the answers.

We also don’t know who Iroh’s wife is. They never mention her.

Oh yeah, I never realized that, she’s never mentioned throughout the entire series.

I’ve only just noticed that recently myself. One theory I have, and this is purely my own personal theory, is that perhaps maybe she died in childbirth. Zuko never mentions her, maybe that’s because he didn’t know her, which would be the case if she had died in childbirth seeing as Lu Ten is older than Zuko. Also, when Ozai and Azulon were talking about Iroh’s birthright, surely they would have considered the fact that he could have had another child if his wife was still alive right? And he possibly would have had more children as well. There is no real evidence to support the theory, but it seems logical to me.

Breanne Reply:November 13th, 2010 at 1:56 am
I recently noticed that myself. My theory, and this is my own personal theory with absolutely no real evidence behind it mind you, is that she probably died in child birth. One reason I think this is because it doesn’t seem like Zuko even really knew she existed which he probably wouldn’t if she died in childbirth because his cousin seems to be several years older than him. Another reason is because when Ozai and Azulon are talking about Iroh’s birthright after he lost his son, they don’t seem to consider the fact that he could have another child. Maybe the reason for this is because he can’t because his wife died. Also, if she were still alive, Iroh would probably have had more than one kid as he seems to really enjoy children and loved being a father. That’s just my guess.

Admin / Jordash Reply:November 13th, 2010 at 11:45 am
Yeah that’s a good theory. And it would also explain why iroh was so attached to his son and later zuko.
Airspeed Prime Reply:November 13th, 2010 at 3:16 pm
Yeah, that makes alot of sense, that probably is the Actual Story.
oh yeah you guys are right! That made it unclear. Maybe the creators thought it was better that way to keep things simple when she or lu ten died.
Reply
I also think that Iroh, being wise and a leader of the white lotus, has trained himself to try to communicate or go into the spirit world. I think, and so do some other people, speculate that he was looking for his son Lu Ten.
PS: It is also rumored that Koh has Lu ten’s face (which was the last face we seen on him, which was of a young man) and he kind-of looked like Lu Ten in the picture of him seen in “Tales of Ba Sing Se, Tale of Iroh,” but older. What do you guys think?
Reply
Admin / Jordash Reply:October 20th, 2010 at 8:00 pm
As far as Lu Ten being stole by Koh, I don’t think so because it’s mentioned that he died in an Earth Nation siege.
I like the idea of him training himself to go into the spirit world, that seems like something he would do, especially if he could communicate with his son like you mentioned.

I got one question how would orphan know how to train to enter the spirit world because even avatar Wang didn’t know what he was doing at first and he’s the great bridge. But it is an interesting concept

Tracy Reply:November 28th, 2010 at 5:13 pm
I know Iroh took that journey into the Spirit World, we also know that he can see spirits because he saw Aang on Fang. But he also had the vision of taking Ba Sing Se. I think there was something definitely special about Iroh.
rocky Reply:December 9th, 2010 at 2:13 pm
yea iiroh definately went in the spirit world when he was younger and had the vision of conquering ba sing se because how else could you explain him being the only person who could see aang on fang while aang wqs in the spirit world for the first time. The only thing I’m confused about is when he took the trip because he said he had the vision when he was young so he probably went in his journey before he became general and tried conquering ba sing se but I always figured he went on one after he retreated from his 600 day siege because of losing his son lu ten which caused him to realize that what he was doing was wrong so he became good.
Daniella May Reply:July 2nd, 2012 at 5:19 pm
Iroh probably gained the ability to enter the spirit world from the dragons, which allowed him to be one of the most powerful firebenders in the world and also have the vision of conquering Ba Sing Se.
The Toph question is still a mystery? It’s a possiblity that it happend, hopefully they will show something in Legends of Korra I really do, but I also think her parents would still have some sort of problem in the begining if she does return, but eventually they would accept her as she is, not a helpless blind girl. Plus I think she would become a better earthbender than she is now. Also Zuko’s mom I really really want to know something tells me thats going to be the big ticket there in LOK.

I wonder what became of the northern water tribe chief ( cant remember his name atm ) and who would become his heir…
Reply
Airspeed Prime Reply:October 24th, 2010 at 4:37 am
His name is Chief Arnook(i i remember correctly), i am not sure about the leadership structure of the NWT but why was Yue a princess and Sokka and Katara were not Prince and Princess despite their Father being the Chief.
I guess they could have had another child or another family became the Chief.
Reply
rocky Reply:December 9th, 2010 at 2:21 pm
Was chief arnook’s wife still around because they never seemed to mention her during the siege of the north but they also never mention her bieng dead either? I think I saw someone who might have been his wife in “the waterbending master ” when katara went to talk to master paku and chief arnook about taking aang back as his studen because they showed a council or something like that and there was an older lady sitting up there if I remember correctly that seemed as she might have been chief arnooks wife, but I’m not sure.
Reply
Azula Reply:January 4th, 2012 at 12:52 pm
When Chief Arnook was preparing to take men for the war just before the siege, he stood on a platform and said, “I have gathered my family”. I seem to remember Pakku on one side and Yue on the other. Does that mean Pakku is related to them? Or did he mean his figurative family, the whole tribe, and Pakku just happened to be someone important that got to sit next to the chief?
Airspeed Prime Reply:January 4th, 2012 at 1:29 pm
I think he meant both, his literal family, Yue and the whole tribe. We know that the Water Tribe people are very close so one another.
The egg thing is pretty weird, I just think it is an artifact.

Yeah that’s a good theory, plus iroh didn’t kill the dragon probably because he knew there was a chance to save the species from extinction.

As far as Jet goes, the creators Mike and Bryan confirmed that he died at San Diego Comic Con 2008. Oh well. I need the mystery behind Ursa to be solved though!

Airspeed Prime Reply:November 26th, 2010 at 3:32 am
Yes we know he died, but the unanswered thing is how, did Longshot put him out of his misery or did they wait with him during his final moments.
Reply
rocky Reply:December 8th, 2010 at 12:13 am
Either jet died soon after the gang left to find long fang or longshot put him out of his misery because I think smellerbee had a crush on jet and didn’t want to see jet in pain so she told longshot to finish him.
Reply
Azula Reply:September 16th, 2011 at 4:22 pm
I think Smellerbee had a thing with Longshot. (I don’t see why) And I hope she didn’t. I LOVE Jet, and that just seems cruel to me. I think if Longshot did put him out of his misery, it wouldve been because Jet asked him to.

I was always confused about Sokka getting the white lotus piece from his sword master in the fire nation… did that mean he may be part of the white lotus???
or was that just for them to find the other white lotus members???
And I wanted to see how well Zuko would take to being a firelord and being GOOD (we all know he has problems choosing a side)
Will Sokka ever get to see yue again??
wish there would be a series based A few years after Sozins Comet. To see where everyone is

I widh they made a book 4 or atleast another movie 10 or 15 years after sozans comet to answer the big questions. Here’s my guess at what happened: I believe ursa died because I’m pretty sure she would have revealed herself to zuko on the day of his coronation. And for the airbenders I don’t think aang would use energbending to give peopple the ability to airbend because that doesn’t seem like something he would do, to me atleast. The whole thing with toph and her parents I believe they would have happily accepted her back because when ahe sent the people to return her (can’t remember their names sorry) they believed that toph was kidnapped so once toph returned home and explained everything to them they would understand because they deeply loved and cared dor her. Plus we never got to see what toph wrote to her parents by sending hawky (sokkas messenger bird). I’m sure sokka saw yue again in his dreams sometimes (as long as he wasn’t dreaming about food eating people haha). I’m sure zuko did a good job as firelord because he had iroh and aang to help him and since he delt with the turmoil inside him I believe he was able to make lightning. The only thing that really baffles me is what happened to azula after she lost it, was she put in prison just like firlord ozai? As far as the earth king and boscoe (his pet bear) goes I believe once ba sing se became free from the fire nation he returned to rule his nation. Also, what happened to the dai li, I assume they were all improsined as well. Thanks, reply if u have more questions or there was something I failed to mention. I’m just curious as to where all the main characters lived. Did they all live in the fire nation with zuko or did aang and katara go to live at one of the air temples or did they go to the southern water tribes. Did suki and sokka live on kyoshi or did they also go back and live at the southern water tribe or perhaps they went to live with kataang at one of the air temples because if all the characters grow apart from one another as they grew old. I always wondered if toph got together with the duke. Because I felt as though they got pretty close during the end of the series.

Runiya Reply:November 27th, 2010 at 11:06 am
But in the end we saw that they all went back to Ba Sing Se to Uncle Iroh’s teashop. So, they might not live with each other but frequently visit each other. It could be possible that they lived in the Fire Nation for a while until they grew up a bit more.. like until they were about 18 – 19 and then they might go their own way. Like Aang still has to travel the world, because he is the Avatar. Sokka would probably go back to the Southern Water Tribe and like teach the kids their sword fighting
Suki might go with him.. or they might go to Kyoshi. Katara would probably follow Aang. Toph, she might just stay at the Palace, or possibly go back to her parents, but I doubt she would because she loves being adventurous and I doubt she could do that with her parents. Even though she loves them I still think they would tie her back. They still think of her as their little girl and i don’t think they could ever get over the fact that she is an amazing bender and has been through all these problems. Personally, I feel that they will always be close, even though it is hard to travel across nations. They will find time to just chill in Uncle’s Teashop because what they had to go through will bring anyone close to each other.

rocky Reply:December 9th, 2010 at 3:59 pm
The gang might have gone their seperate ways as they grew a little older but I don’t think aang would of had to travel the world for the rest of his life just because he is the avatar because in “the avatar in the firelord” avatar roku says he spent most of his time as he grew older at his home with his wife (can’t remember her name). The gang probably stayed together for the most part because they had too rebuild the world together, figuratively speaking. But eventually zuko and mai had to stay behind, for the most part, in the fire nation since he was the firelord now. I would imagine that kataang and sukko lived together as well as maybe the doph (if they got together) in the southern air temple because they would be close to the southern water tribe as well as kyoshi so they could easily fly over on appa to visit their friends and family, except for toph but it wouldn’t take long to get there on appa. I agree though that they remained close because they probably all visited each other often because to endure what they did would make a bond so close that nothing could come in between them.

Donna Reply:December 9th, 2010 at 9:54 pm
I somehow thing Aang did travel the world regularly to make sure peace ensued, as in the episode of “The old Masters” Several of the Avatars talked about being relaxed and not keeping an eye on things, Avatar Roku mentions to this to Aang particularly in the Awakening episode, and felt that Aang would not want to repeat the past Avatars mistakes and let the world fall out of balance again…
Also there would be a lot of work to have been done after the war finished, suffering and pain caused by war doesn’t go away over night just cause the war is over… and this was a 100 years of war, so I don’t think that that pain and suffering would just vanish – am thinking that with ATLK’s storyline being about anti-bending, that after Aang’s death there would of been maybe upto another 16 years before Korra is announced the new Avatar, then another few years before she has mastered all the elements except for air, which she is learning from Tenzin, Aang and Katara’s son – enough time to reset past grievences and stir up old wounds to begin a new revolt….
I think the gaang met regularly, shared adventures when possible, though once families are started it is harder to get away on such escapades, just ask your folks
though the bond between them would definitely encourage them to hang out as much as possible together
who was sparky sparky boom man ( guy with the 3 eyeballs that blew up stuff )
was he a bender?
how did Zuko know to go to him and have him take out the avatar??
who was this mysterious man!!
Reply
woodzanager Reply:November 11th, 2010 at 6:42 pm
My best guesse at to who sparky sparky boom man was is that he was a firebender who instead of extending fire from his arms he could direct his chi flow through eye his alowing him to blow things up. That’s my best guess and I’m sticking with it. And the only reason that zuko knew combuskon man was at the western air temple is because he oroibably heard the ship land that combuskon man used to get over there.
Reply
Airspeed Prime Reply:November 12th, 2010 at 10:08 am
Combustion man is just a Firebender who can concentrate his Chi Flow through his third Eye and create the blasts.I believe Mike and Bryan said he learned it as a child and blew off his arm and leg, which is why he has a metal arm and leg, I take it that he has a reputation as a great bounty hunter which is why Zuko knows of him.

Zurich knew to got to sparky sparky boom man because in the show when they first showed him zuko mentioned that and I quote “I’ve heard about you, they say your good at what you do and even better at keeping secrets. The avatar is alive, I want you to find him and end him”

It’s been confirmed (by the creators) that katara did marry aang. As in the new series korra will be taught air bending by kataang’s son tenzin.
I wonder if zuko will join the white lotus as well.

I think its safe to say that Sokka joined OWL seeing as Piandao saw poential in him and gave him a lotus tile, Zuko probably did to on Iroh’s recommendation.
Suki controlling the War Ship well she landed on top of it then she rigged it up so she could control it from the outside, i presume Sokka thought her some Inventing Skills.

Yea on the subject of Zuko being able to eventually generate lightning himself…I think it’s a given that he did learn it…as the only thing keeping him frm learning it was him not solving the conflict within himself. He does this when he realizes his shared past is parallel to Aangs…and then decides to side with Aang and the others.

I seriously hope Azula turns good too. She was a messed up child, but that was her dad’s fault. I think that with Iroh’s help she could transform like Zuko did. Just a possibility, but still
I would really have hoped to search her path a little farther before the series ended.

I’m guessing that there will be alot of air benders.

Will they get arrow tattoos on their heads? Hmmm. It shows that TPTB never stay consistent in anything these days.

Well only Master Airbenders have Arrows, since Tenzin is Teaching Korra Airbending I presume he is a master and therefore has Arrows.
It wouldn’t be the same without them.
Tracy Reply:December 4th, 2010 at 12:26 pm
Will it be Aang who gives him the tattoos I wonder?
Airspeed Prime Reply:December 3rd, 2010 at 5:22 am
Well we can’t know for sure, but We know for sure Tenzin is an Airbender and Aang and Katara might have had more kids who are also Airbenders, maybe Tenzin is the only master.
Also there is a rumor that is not quite/kind of confirmed that he has a Son, so the Airbenders look like they are on their way back.

I think some went into hiding after learning they were going to be wiped out and in Korra, we will see the few remaining who survived. It’s doubtful many survived or they would have been seen. But just as you saw earth-benders adapting to swamps and sand, air benders could have adapted to the new environment they were forced to be in. I’m sure Korra will have some type of short back story explaining this (or so I hope).

Thts good! I bet Katara and Aang will have more than one kid anyway hopefully! Thanks that made my question clearer! Thanks
I love this site <33

Yea with Aang and Katara..they had enough knowledge by themselves to bring back the Air nomad culture and airbending skills and to pass it down to their children. So in Korras time..they will have a new beginning that is well on its way…I wonder if they will have them going back to the Air temples tho

Maybe they will not re detach themselves from the rest of the world. Maybe they will live out in the open and establish their own culture with the rest of the world.

Well we actually know that people of all 4 nations will live in republic City, so unless Tenzin is the only Airbender that means there are more Airbenders.
Airbenders detatching themselves from the world is key to their philosophy like Being strong like a rock is to Earthbending, It just means that if there are a few Airbenders they will not be living together away from the World as they did in the Era before the Air Nomad genocide. Detatching themselves from the world is so they don’t form attachments and so they can fly, I.E gravity doesn’t bind them to the earth

So it doesn’t make sense that it’s called “The last airbender: legend of Korra” cause… Tenzin’s not the last…
Yea altho the airbenders bended the air of course in order to “fly”..eventually they had to stop flying or gliding as it requires continuous energy…altho their gliders certainly helped them with this lol. I loved the last episode Avatar Aang when he was fully into the Avatar state and we saw airbending moves we never before seen and airbending so powerful, it carved and cut thru the very rock around him.

I thought this was so Obvious that it doesn’t even need to be said, I was just going into the more philosophical belief side of AirBending.
Yeah Amazing Airbending is the Avatar State, But it is the Combined Power and experience of every previous Avatar Flowing through Aang, My favorite part of that final battle was Aang compressing pretty much a whole lake into a ring of water, He broke the laws of physics, now thats power.

I have to say that the story captivated me and took me to worlds and dreamlike
but the end of the story left me somewhat unsatisfied as the land of aang does not have the right balance because there are no air nomads
I think the anng mission is to try to find or develop the resurgence of the air nomads and after that I could follow the story of Korr
because as I told the 4 nations would not exist and there would be no balance

Put truth to truth anlizar anng household if there are 4 nations no longer have to balance the 4 nations exist
for there the right balance

Here’s another question. We all know how Appa survived 100 years, he was frozen with Aang the entire time. However, Momo is the last flying lemur. Here’s my question. If Momo was never frozen, or somehow preserved, how is he the last lemur? Surely there must have been others. a species doesn’t flourish for 100 years and then only one is left.

There might have been other lemurs flying around. People in the avatar world didn’t seem to be to surprised to see a lemur while they were surprised to see appa.

Dextino Reply:December 7th, 2010 at 7:51 pm
This could be. Another theory, however, could be that the only reason why people were surprised by Appa is because no one had seen one for 100 years. This could be because they were last seen when air benders were around and people knew the connection between a flying bison and its owner and the bison and its owner more than likely visited other places. A lemur, however, may have never been seen by anyone but the air nomads. Therefore, no one knew about them. Why would they be surprised over something they’ve never seen? As we all know, there are some weird animals in the world of the Avatar. They may have thought it was a flying cat or something since everything seems to be able to cross-breed (lion-turtle, gorilla-bear, platypus bear, etc.)

I always wondered what happened to Li and LO, they were very pro war and fire nation domination.

I want to know if Zuko and Mai have kids and if one of them
becomes fire lord. Also, did Suki and Sokka ever get maried???
Also, what happened to Admiral Zhao after the war? I hope these
questions will be answered in LOK.

I hope Suki and Sokka never got married. I hope that she left for Kyoshi and he stayed with Aang, Katara, and Toph, and eventually Toph and Sokka got together and had cute little Tokka babies. It would be freaking awesome if Korra was a Tokka descendant:) Though the last (Korra being Toph and Sokka’s granddaughter) is unlikely.

I think Korra being Sokkas granddaughter (or great-granddaughter. Maybe they have kids young) is pretty likely. Who’s to know who he married, but being paired up with Suki at the end of ATLA could mean they ended up together.

Here’s my take on the really big unanswered questions in the series Avatar: The Last Airbender. First off, we’ll say Ursa, is in the Spirit World. Reason: Azula saw her in the mirror during the Sozin’s Comet episodes. I won’t chalk that up to Schizophrenia, she spoke to her mother, as for how she got there. My guess would be, she met up with Iroh after the assassination of Azulon, they traveled to the spirit world together. Iroh to speak to his son, Ursa, just to get away. The way they got there, simple, the same way Avatar Kuruk’s wife got there to get her face stolen by Koh. To answer your Admiral Zhao question, he probably either got drowned, or taken to the Spirit World. Also, as for the Lemur question, I think Momo is Monk Giatsu. It’s a possibility he transferred his spirit into the Lemur.

Interesting Theories
Reply
WOW! I don’t know how you thought of all that, but it makes sense (except maybe the Monk Giatsu part). With your Ursa theory, the only thing that doesn’t fit is that it seemed like Fire Lord Ozai knew where Ursa was. How would he know that she went to the Spirit world? P.S. Those of you who think Korra is related to Sokka and Suki (or Toph), I think it’s unlikely. Sokka’s kid would have to marry a water bender if it’s Korra’s birth element right?

Korra could actually be related to Sokka (maybe), you said sokka would have to marry a water bender not entirely true, both sokka and katara`s parents were`nt water benders but, katara winded up having water bending… I just believe it`s a trait that develops as a lucky draw..because, some could have powers some may not.

I think the biggest loose end is Ursa. Personally, I think she hid as a refugee in the earth kingdom and re-married (banishing your wife is as good as a divorce right?) some earth kingdom guy and had a daughter. I think Zuko found her, his step-father and his half sister, and when he found Ursa she was pregnant with a baby boy (baby Kuzon would’ve been cute). This is my personal opinion of what happened.

I got a few questions???? O.o
If Appa was the last flying bisen, then how did he repopulate,…in legend of korra you see a few…like oogie….could it be possible that they found more bisens?….what happened to Momo`s species?
They did`nt show it in LOK….so did it die out?…or wejust have`nt seen them yet?
