The Last Airbender DVD and Blu Ray Release Date Announced
Love it or hate it M Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender Live Action Movie adaptation of Avatar The Last Airbender has a firm release date of November 16 The Blu-Ray version has some additional features to the single disc edition.
While we weren’t to overly impressed with the movie, and the overall reaction to the movie was negative (at least according to the large amount of Avatar fans we interviewed) I still think the movie had some gems of potential, and I still hope for a second one, as long as M Night Listens to feedback from fans and critics.

Yeah, be sure to also check out an in-person interview we had with M Night Shyamalan in New York, the movie sounded so cool back then:

I personally thought the movie wasn’t bad, but it definatelly wasn’t what I was hoping for. I had never seen the show before until after I first saw the preview for The Last Airbender. The preview looked so amazing and cool that I wanted to see the movie, but I had never heard of the animated series before so I decided to watch it in preperation for the upcoming live action movie based on the show. I will admit that the first couple of episodes weren’t all that great but then I started to really get into it, and I mean really get into. I fell in love with the characters and their backgrounds and with the incredible storyline. I also fell in love with the Avatar World, such as the amazing “bending of the four elements” and the cool animals. I can’t tell you how many times I have watched the series since then. I believe the movie could have been so much better if they would have simply made it longer, because a hour and a half is just not cutting it, it should have been atleast two and half hours at a minumum because they left so much out of the first book. The reason he (M.Night Shymalin)changed the pronunctation of the names is so they would have the original asian background, but that wasn’t needed. Though I am starting to agree with his reasoning behind the firebenders not bieng able to make their own fire is because he felt that all the other bending types were limited to thier surroundings in order to bend their element. Thats my opinion of the movie and a little bit of reasoning on why he did some of the stuff he did. Can’t wait for the second one to come into theaters, hopefully it won’t be as dissapointing as the first one.

Just watched the movie again on blue ray. Was it just me or did it seem like the fight scenes moved kinda slow. What I mean was it seemed like there was a delay when a waterbender shot water torwards a firebender or the otherway around, I felt like it took forever for the water blast to reach an enemy. I felt like I could easily dodge some of the moves and I always sucked in dodgeball. Maybe its just me, idk. Loved the deleted scenes and extras though,though I didn’t like the talk to the dead scene, was suppose to be serious or funny?

I think someone else should remake it over.Actually make a movie, it deserves that much.Make it 2 parts or something so it aint too long but give some length to it.It was honestly dissapointing he made everyone look so weak how is he going to do Bumi and go on with every thing he shot himself in the foot he left out so much theres no suki no kiyoshi worriors he left out a lot of vital things and he switched too much up in the temples an all.It was just bad sry dude{M.Night S.}
