Yes after 4 long months of waiting we are just 1 day away from the comic market release date of The Promise Part 3 from Dark Horse comics.
 Here is the cover for Part 3 so you know what to look out for. Remember COMIC STORES ONLY tomorrow. Regular book stores and Amazon won’t be selling it until October 9th.

Barnes and Noble will not have it until October 9th, comic stores use different distributors than book stores, which is why there are 2 different dates.

They may have Part 1 and part 2 in stock ATM, part 3 won’t be released there until October 9th.
so close.. yet so far. lol and airspeed i havent been reading part 1 or 2 but when i get part 3 im reading the whole promise series so it just all flows together! <3 this is going to be a wonderful epic ending!

Also a note to anyone ordering from Amazon, tomorrow comic sellers on Amazon will start popping up selling the book tomorrow.
It is just Amazon themselves who won’t be shipping until October 9th, other sellers like comic stores who have a page on Amazon will be selling it tomorrow, so that may be an option to get the book not tomorrow but earlier than October 9th.

Yes, I pre-ordered my copy from Amazon many weeks ago and will not receive it until October. Worth the wait though hopefully!

Hmmm… I have ordered it from Barnes and Noble but it says that the expected ship date is October 28. When I first saw this, I said: waaaaaaaaaah, but after that, I wondered why. If the book comes out on October 9, it should only take five business days to deliver, as stated to me by B&N directly. Anybody know why Barnes and Noble would take nineteen days to deliver my copy?

Part 3 does not appear to be on their website any more, so perhaps the preorder sold out and they are getting a second delivery in which is what you are getting.
That said closer to October 9th you will probably get an updated shipping time.

. My biggest problem though is that when I ordered it (May 30thish) it had a reasonable ship date, but now it doesn’t.

wait a moment Mr know it all. You dont live here in America remember? B & N “MIGHT” have it now. It may vary on your location. Ask and find out first. Doesn’t hurt to ask & look.

I do know for a fact that barnes and noble is not a comic store and hence do not use diamond distribution which is where every comic store gets their comics from.
For example check out their preorder for the Promise Hardcover, release date is March 5th 2013

But if you check the publishers website, Dark Horse comics, they have the publication date of February 20th

So that is why I am just giving the facts that Barnes and Nobles won’t have it until October 9th, unless they break release dates, which is not likely, since they won’t get a shipment until about Tuesday which is the regular book store shipping date.

What is with the attitude ?
Would you rather I lie to everyone and have them going on wild goose chases to shops that simply won’t have the book today ?
I am just telling everyone the correct info about the book and it’s release date. Even the writer of the book on Twitter is saying that today is the comic market release date and October 9th is the mass market release.
What do you want me to say ? lol

Which with my comment I can understand why your impatient

My honest only complaint with this book is how with my copy made some of the text on the pages Slightly smudgy

This was the first time i went to a comic book store, and everyone in it was my dad age and up. Went around looking all over the place and then the clerk told me it on the tiny book case near the door.
35 dollar for all 3 ouch. there goes my lunch for tomorrow.

I was searching around, I finally had to ask and it was right in front, in plain sight. Made me feel silly.
And the clerk was actually a woman. It’s rare to find female fans of comics, let alone women working in comic stores.

Yeah, I think it’s becoming more common. (I’m a girl and I draw a comic.) It was a pleasant surprise to meet someone in person who is a girl who likes comics. Up till now the only comic girls I have met or read the comics of are online.
I do have to mention a warning though

Ok I have the coolest comic book store ever! My local comic shop knows how much I’m into the fandom, Mike <— the owner knew I was working all day and on his lunch brake came by my shop and dropped off P3 for me
! Only bad thing was I was way to busy to read it till now.
Finally home and can't wait to dive in to this conclusion that we have been waiting for like a god d*** eternity lol.

Well this has been an interesting day. My one comic shop didn’t have it so I had to go across town to the other comic shop, was lucky enough to get the last copy.
I liked the conclusion. It’s certianly the most meaty and thought provoking of all three parts. So aside from being very ticked off at Roku, I’m satisfied with how it all ended.
