Smoke and Shadow Part 3 Cover, Summary and Release Date

Big comic news, we at last have the cover for the final part of the Smoke and Shadow comic series, the cover for Part 3.

That is not all, we also have a release date for this book. Amazon have it listed for April 12th 2016, this is the mass market release date, but for comic stores the book will be out March 30th 2016.

Of most interest, though, is the description for this final part. We get confirmation that Azula will 100% be in this story.

Children are disappearing in the Fire Nation capitol! Avatar Aang and his friends are doing everything in their power to save them–but will it be enough?!

What’s worse, when Azula–the mad sister of Fire Lord Zuko–appears on the scene, Zuko locks down the capitol to catch her, igniting fear and riots in the streets! Will Zuko follow in his evil father’s footsteps in order to save those he holds dear?!

The most notable things here for sure are the details of Azula’s return and especially a decision that Zuko has to make that may see him follow in his father’s footsteps. I assume how he chooses to deal with Azula will be this defining moment for Zuko.

Here is part 1 & 2 covers. I forgot we had part two before seeing this. Aang is on each of them. Zuko makes sense, the preview didn’t assign Aang to a lane of traveltravel. It could be just for comic recognition.

Why Zuko didn’t stop Azula when she ran off to the forgetful valley in the search instead of waiting for her until the end of smoke and shadow? It looks like she showed up while the events are taking place makes Zuko very intense. How the vision of her mother telling her that she has a beautfiul destiny and her return make sense? And what Aang said about her at the end of the search forshadow her return? Since the promise Zuko was about to follow Ozai’s foot steps like three times !

I think it is more on Azula than Zuko in this case, she ran off because she was struggling with how she felt seeing her mother again, and I think Zuko realised this and knew that it was not the time to go after her.

We will get a much better perspective on this when we see Zuko’s initial reaction to seeing Azula again.

Nice to see azula will be in the story. i wonder if ozai will be broken out of the prison or wherever he is. It would be cool to see a fight between ozai and zuko
