Smoke and Shadow Library Edition Cover Revealed

Yesterday we got the announcement of the Smoke and Shadow Library Edition, today we have much clearer details.

Thanks to Amazon we have the cover and exact release dates.

SmokeAndShadowHardcover

Amazon have October 11th as the release date, which means that September 28th will be the comic store release date, which makes sense given that Dark Horse said September yesterday.

I really like the cover, it very much fits the mood and feel of the series. I again would question why Aang is so prevalent on the cover, but we have yet to see how involved he is in Part 3, still Zuko and Mai are the main characters in this story not him. They always nail these Hardcover covers perfectly to suit each series.

Thoughts?

that cover is incredible! can’t wait for part 3 to see how it ends. (No
i literally cannot wait, it’s impossible to wait for the end of march to come!)
though i think the cover would be slightly better if zuko and aang were shown bending like they are on the cover for Part 1 cos Mai’s the only one with weapons on the cover.
also, i personally think the reason aang is on the cover is because being on the cover of these trilogies, even if you’re not the main focus of the story or in it for most of the story, is one of the many perks of being the avatar.

The release date has been updated. According to the Penguin Random House site, the release date for this is now October 4th, which means, I guess, September 21st for comic shops.

ALSO, I think I know when we’ll hear more on the Korra comics:

    http://conventionkickoff.com/

Dark Horse will be involved, and the focus of the event seems to be:

“Featuring first looks at upcoming projects from the biggest publishers in the industry”

Seems like the sort of event Dark Horse would want to drop the info at.

Perhaps, I just feel like the first big announcement about Korra comics would be at a bigger event like SDCC or even just a big comics news site getting the story.

If that’s true, then that’s good, we get it a week earlier than the first predicted date. FLAMEO!!!
