    I love both the original series music by the Track Team as well as James Newton Howard’s movie soundtrack. I read once that there was a nod to the Track Team in the movie soundtrack (something about Aang’s three notes when he is in “hero mode”), yet I have never been able to point it out in the movie music. Anyone ever notice it?

    It may just be the part in “Flow Like Water” when it builds up there is a part that sounds alot like the Track Teams Work, Kind of like Avatar State, Ocean Spirit.

    I am probably wrong, though

    @airspeed Well that is my favorite part on the entire soundtrack, but don’t see that as any kind of “tribute” or nod to Ben and Jeremy. Ah well, maybe I’m losing it.

    I never heard anywhere about a nod to the track team, you mentioned the Hero mode which is when he is making the tidal wave, There is a bit somewhere in Flow Like Water that sounds like some of the Track teams work not sure exactly where but i listen to it all the time and there is a bit.

    I love Flow like the water, it’s my alarm at the mo… a brilliant way to wake up gently and build into the day! :) The use of the wind chimes at the begining, always sets me into a good space, and love meditating in a breeze with windchimes singing, can’t put my finger on it, but just feel so relaxed and connected when the windchimes sing gently :)

    Yes it is a glorious piece of music, has a bit of everything, Intensity, emotion, peaceful bits and much more.

    Really suits the Tidal wave scene.

    I actually think I know what the Track Team is talking about. Listen to the beginning of Airbender sweet and listen for the show theme.

    I may be wrong, but that is how I took it when reading an older track team interview.

    @christopher

    OMG you’re right! I totally never heard that before…just higher up in the register and slowed down! Thank you, that’s been bothering me for a while.

    Love it when fans figure out the little details that the creators or folk working on the series do – another wonderful reason for loving this show/movie so much! :)
