Just a thought…. some of us have double up’s in our ATLA collections and some of us are amazing artists that could perhaps consider doing commissions to help fund our addiction to ATLA/TLK – so I was thinking, would it be possible to somehow have a separate market place Thread within the message board for folk to list what they have to sell or want to trade or want to buy can be easily followed and perhaps say a voluntary 10% of the value is donated to the site to help fund the extra space/speed we’ll be needing as more fans join? If it’s separate from all the other boards, so it doesn’t get lost amongst the other postings, folk can find it easier and perhaps folk can bring more happiness to our little world… I noticed we have something in Sokka’s Random and also something in the Last Airbender movie thread, and think there may be something else floating around, but quiet can’t remember where I saw it… anyway… just a thought….

@airspeed Yup only ATLA & related merchandise, can be other wise trade or selling/purchasing… got a few double ups on my shelf that could use going to a new home and being enjoyed rather than just sitting on my shelf Happy to trade or just sell, and I’m about to get stuck into some more Wood carving, am addicted now that I’ve seen what I can do with my staff Wanna try smaller pieces of the other elements etc…. and I know that you do great Paper products that you might want to earn some cash off… and there are others here with talents that need showcasing and supporting too Also may be an opportunity for new folk to become part of the community too?

@airspeed we like active sections though totally understand Jordan has final say, will respect his decision either way – and maybe we could come up with an alternative if he feels it’s not suitable as I would love to see these books go to new homes…they deserve some new love and happiness

On another thought, I just remembered I have a spare copy of The Track Teams – DC Showcase Soundtrack, that I got at Comic Con this year to help support the guys with sales and also remembered that I offered to put up something for a prize for a ATLAOL fan competition, so we need to get our thinking heads on to figure out what kind of competition we want to offer it in – or we can do it as a lottery too? We’ll cover the postage costs to anywhere in the world too Tried to get extra posters of Korra, but Nickelodoen was being quiet firm that one per person… which is fair for the folk that were there, as there were folk I met up with later that missed out… maybe next year…

The points just show how active/long you have been on the forum, like a post count but counting more than just posts.

But I think a contest for something would be very cool, we would have to make it a challenge and set a few rules but I think it could work very well. *Goes to scheme some more*

I know it is ok for forums to have Sales threads and such. The Transformers forum I go on sometimes has a huge section for Trading, Buying and selling. It runs fairly easily and simply just like any other forum section.
Donna’s idea about 10% going to the site, I think would be a problem, I doubt that would be legal.

Contests, I think are much the same, once the site is not making money off it is cool.
