Alright, so I’m back on the forum with a lot of fun surprises for you guys! Back in May, I showed my prototype version of Korra in LEGO figure form, since then I’ve been hard at work for a big release which came last tuesday via my Flickr. I’m now getting to posting here since I just got back from a recent trip (Sorry about that).
So, I’ve made Korra, Mako, Bolin, Tenzin, Asami, and Amon! All took weeks to perfect the design in order to be as accurate as possible! (And more to come!)
The Design Process: So I’m sure many of you are wondering how I did this since LEGO no longer has the license for Avatar LEGO sets since 2007. Simple, I make them myself! These figures are printed (not using paint or decals applied to the parts). Printing is the highest quality possible on a toy figure, and since LEGO themselfs use printing on there own products, I went ahead and did it myself!
The printing is just like any other LEGO figure but I take it beyond the limits to print other parts on there figures that LEGO themselves wouldn’t do. For designing purposes, I used professional software like Adobe illustrator and Photoshop. For reference, I simply used the Comic-Con turnaround art work (has every angle needed for designing).
There is a lot more to these figures (Design wise), and if I were to explain every bit it, you’d be shocked!
Now, I do make these because I absolutely <3 The Legend of Korra (or else I wouldn't spend 30+ hours designing them). But, I do actually sell them since when you print something, you usually have to make more then one printed. There expensive for the amount of work and effort that goes into them, so I won't talk about that.
Your welcome to any questions below, and I’d love to hear what you have to say!

[UPDATE # 1 | 9-21-12] Hey folks, remember how I said I was gonna make more? Well I did! Presenting the next figure: The Equalist Solider! This took 7 weeks before it was perfected for printing since the print goes 360 degrees around his head! This will also be the most expensive out of all of them, but I assure you that it will be worth it since theres very low amounts of him!
I’ll be back in a month or two with some more fun goodies to share with everyone!
