What Animal will Korra get ?, my guess is the Polar Bear Dog that was in the original Concept of Avatar, Mike and Bryan said we would see it again.

Now, what animals are closely associated with the Water Tribe?

Well from what we know, The Sky Bisons were the first Airbenders and Appa is Aangs guide, The Dragons are the first Firebenders and Fang is Rokus animal guide, by extension The badgermoles are the First EarthBenders and so some Earth Avatar must have had one as an animal guide.

Waterbenders are an odd case as The Moon is the first Waterbender, so her guide would have to be an animal that can control/bend water and the only Animal we see doing this is The Unagi using water gun in 104.

Actually I kind of remember that, I think they said something along the lines of that bear thing being like Fluffy (King Bumis Pet) but i’m also not sure, i’ll have to double check when I get home from college as well
