    Hello avatar people, just thought I would share my first 3D print of the ATLA bison whistle. Not exactly a perfect replica but pretty cool I think. I have posted some info on my blog about my process if anyone is interested and if you really want one for your self you can buy it 3dprints.g2bproductions.
    Any suggestions for something else to model avatar related to have it printed?

    Also as a side note, only the color version is hollow (though both should be) but when I blew on it Appa, Oggi or any other flying bison did not come to me.

    @greg2b Wow that’s very impressive and unique among the fan art on the site so far (as far as I know). I’ll definitely check out your blog sometime, but can you give a short description of how you made the model? And you used a 3D printer correct?

    Before I suggest anything else, how big can the mold/model be?

    @firesageguntur Thanks and I made the model in Maxon Cinema 4D just off of reference I found online of the whistle. I even found other people who actually made the whistle with real clay.

    After I made the model I uploaded it to shapeways.com to get a quote and if the model passed the test. After repeating that process a while to get it right I just had to buy it and wait. Shapeways has their own 3D printers and the max size for the plastic one is 660x350x550mm and the color sandstone 250x380x200mm.

    @firedancer10 thanks
