Hi guys, I’m new here. Anyway, I got my first drawing tablet a few days ago, a Wacom Bamboo in case you’re curious, it was on sale, and given the amount of pens, pencils and paper I used to go through, this thing should pay for itself pretty fast. So it’s always been a hobby of mine to draw along with whatever show I’m watching, quick sketches mostly, sometimes checking out some pictures online for a more detailed drawing. As you can imagine there are all sorts of opportunities for this with Avatar. So anyway, I recently finished my university degree, and am somewhat dismayed at the lack of jobs available. Since I am unemployed, when I’m not running resumes around, or doing odd jobs to pay the rent, if you guys have any requests for Avatar-themed stuff you’d like drawn, I’d be happy to draw it. I don’t have all the programs that the pro’s have, heck I just have the few that came free with the tablet, but I can get pretty close.

I must say my favourite part of the process is the colouring, it’s so much fun, and something I could never really do to any satisfactory level with just a pencil and paper. To see a simple line drawing take life before your eyes, with shadows to create form and substance, it’s a magical experience. If I had 100′s of line drawings on my computer I could happily spend my days colouring them all.

Anyway, send me some requests, who knows, maybe if someone likes my art they’ll even pay me for it, stranger things have happened, would sure beat working at McDonalds. I’m still getting used to using this tablet, if I had a spare week to just sit down and test everything out I’m sure I could make progress, but an hour or two here and then is slowing things somewhat. Anyway, here’s one of my first pictures on my new tablet, it’s alright, not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it’s heading in the right direction.

@midnight0094 yeah, I had a heck of a time with her left eye, and I never did fix the hairline, like I said, it’s far from perfect, If I could draw every character from behind they’d look great! but the eyes, eyes can drive me insane sometimes, was way easier to get them straight on paper.
