Grey DeLisle to voice “The Dark Spirit” in The Legend Of Korra
Yes, SDCC 2012 has just ended and already we have more news.
Grey DeLisle, who you many know as the voice of Azula, Mai’s mother, Kya (Katara’s mom), Ta Min (Roku’s wife), Actress Katara and the servant who Azula banished for leaving a pip in,
Has announced on Twitter that she will be returning to Avatar to voice a character in The Legend Of Korra.

Now this may be the Spirit we saw concept art for during the Korra panel
Could this be “The Dark Spirit” Grey DeLisle will be voicing.
What are your thoughts on another ATLA voice actor returning for Korra ?

I keep thinking it’s going to be raspy or maybe echoy (due to the spirit world effect?). I can’t imagine Azula’s high-pitched voice on that spirit XD

I always say it as “deh-LEES-le”.
And also, how would you pronounce Joaquim?

It is either as you put it there or
“De-lile” with a silent s, I am not sure myself.
Joaquim is pronounced like “Wah-keem”

Joaquim can be pronounced as “Who-Ah-’Keem”… that would sound more Portuguese.

I love that they are bringing back old voice characters it really makes more connection that A:TLA and TLOK are the same show only a different storyline, but it´s also good that the main characters have different voice actors cos it would just be weird to hear.

It is good also as Generel Iroh on TLOK is Zuko’s vocie actor in ATLA Which is awsome ( I think )

Really, to me it looks like a spongebob sea monster. The animation as far as backgrounds and caracters also looks simular. A lot of LoK is Spongebob-esqeu with the life long friendships. Korra-esque has meaning though.

I never thought of the spirit having a girl voice. I thought of it having a deep screeching voice that made weird noises.

I don’t think that’s the Dark Spirit. The image doesn’t seem to show the same character in different poses; rather, it seems like a kind of spirit, because each one has a different build, and the barbs on the back are different.
In the animation at the SDCC, that’s the same spirit that attacked Korra. I don’t think the Dark Spirit — whatever it is (but it sounds important) — would be Korra’s first spirit adversary.

hope the story will be for cohesive than the last season, and please make korra learn some Humility. But yay i loved all her voice acting.
