Wow This Came out of Nowhere! While we aren’t 100% sure this is the real thing, it looks way to good to be a fake, plus the voice sounds a whole lot like J.K. Simmons the voice behind Tenzin (Aang’s son).
Couple of things we noticed from the video
- Title of the series is changed back to “Avatar: Legend of Korra” (Although this could have been made before it was named with The Last Airbender prefix)
- Name of the first season is: “Book 1: Air – Welcome to Republic City”
Update – Sorry looks like series creator Mike DiMartino asked that the video not be re-posted.
We can say though from what we saw Avatar The Legend of Korra looks way cool and amazing, no surprise there! Looks like things are shaping up for an awesome series.

I’m not 100% sure of the source, I traced it back to the original youtube poster, I asked them if it’s official. It might have been a leak but I’m not sure.

It can be hard not to just jump with excitement and enthusiasm and spread the new Korra material around. Heck, I am guilty of that. I’m in this business and I should know better than to link to what basically is pirated material. Mea Culpa.

Ok, then, but I have to say in response to that Rufftoons post.
They say to wait for the official release of news and materials, I ask from where, Nick have not once beyond the offical announcement of the show and posting the Trailer for people in the USA, put out any info about the show.
Official news would have to come straight from Nick, all the other Korra news we have gotten is second hand info from the SDCC panel because again the creators and nick did not want the full panel up online.
Then the rest of the info is either tiny leaks from Voice actors, interviews or WSJ posts, which can you really say are official.
Another question I have to ask is When ? give us something different to make up for allowing this leak to come out and then snatching it away.
I am pretty annoyed about how they are handling this, Nick needs to step up.

Rufftoons is Johane Matte, she did the art in a few of the The Lost Adventures Story. I do not know if she is working on Korra, I don’t think she is though.

The video is down, we have done what they requested, they cannot not allow us to discuss info that came out.
All they said was to not link any more to the stuff and we have done that, Viacom are taking down videos so the link in the thread we have will be gone soon and I requested no one else post them.
We have kept up a minor summary of the stuff from the trailer, they have no way of telling us to take that down.

Can we say fantastic or what? I have to say, Korra’s character seems more endearing than ever. I wish they would be more open with their shares, I think they don’t understand their fans very well, but oh well. I think that Korra is going to be awesome!

I agree, I am loving what we have seen of her character so far. The voice is great, that WOO HOO tells you all you need to know. She is just looking forward to creating huge funnels of air and flying.

I tried to upload the opening clip in too many sites about video streaming and broadcasting, but all of them banned my video after the upload. Finally I decided to upload it directly to my blog, and I could!

It is, it is confirmed that the guy has the full episode 1. The fact that Viacom are trying so hard to take down any of this on Youtube is also confirmation that it is real.

I’ll miss everyone :’( these people look to old though..i wish it would be a series about themstill as teens, but they meet other people. or its about them as grownups. may and zuko’s kid, aang and katara’s kids, suki and saka’s kid, and toff and maybe the guy in the whellchair’s kid?

The Promise is about them as teens, and I think they wanted to avoid making the show have the main cast be the kids of the first show.
What they are doing with Korra for me is perfect, same universe but not so far ahead that there is nothing related to ATLA, this way they can reference ATLA but not in an over the top way that having a cast of everyones kids would do.
Also lets remember that main journey of the ATLA characters has been told in the show and The Promise will tell the secondary story, they cannot make Avatar like a comic book show where it is just event after event happening. With Korra they are 70 years ahead and it is time for Korra to make her Legend as Aang did in ATLA.
