Thanks so much, that answers my question. The information about the traitor airbender is particularly interesting, since that does seem like something many Avatar fans might have no idea about. And, sort of like Hama from The Pupper Master, the idea of an evil bender that’s not Fire Nation is interesting. (I do wonder if the team doing Tashi and Nima might incorporate that into the story, we’re not far enough along yet to know, I guess. That would definitely be pretty awesome.)

Lol, when I read that ‘Mai and Zuko get back together reveal’ in the summary…I admit, I didn’t know what to think of that. XD!! But, listening to the clip, I agree it didn’t really come across as the massive spoiler people might have initially interpreted it as. It does seem to be a slight spoiler in that, we do know it pretty much has to be Zuko and Mai and, where we are in the comics, they haven’t actually gotten back together at this point. But, I guess I thought it did feel like in the comics it was set up to go in that direction, so it doesn’t feel like a huge slip or anything. As was said here, I guess the question then is if there’s going to be an actual scene of Mai and Zuko making up and getting back together, or if it’s something that will happen off-screen, and we just hear about second-hand, such as in the last part of North and South when Zuko shows up. (Not to show it might feel a bit weird, but then, I thought the way the original show handled their getting together in the first place felt a bit strange, too.)

Beginnings is definitely an interesting couple of episodes, especially in how it’s compromised pretty much of entirely new characters. I also like how it explains many of the things we take for granted in Avatar (seeing the first instance of the Avatar State was awesome), while at the same time, the world has a completely different, almost alien atmosphere, and you really get the sense of this being a different era of time. (What Morgan pointed out here, how the original airbenders had blue tattoos that weren’t quite like they are now, because they hadn’t met the flying bison yet—I found that fascinating, I didn’t pick up on that. Seeing that deeper history, the origins of cultures that had time to develop over centuries, how they’re similar and how they evolved over time, I think really makes the world of Avatar come to life even more than it already has.)

If you are unfamiliar with the Avatar TCG characters like Afiko, check out this video I made a while back where I go in-depth into discussing the 4 little known TCG exclusive characters. I show the cards so you can get a look at these characters.
