Avatar Legends of The Arena

With the Season Finale of Avatar :’( Nickelodean has released an online Avatar The Last Airbender PC Video Game called Avatar: Legends of The Arena.”  The storyline basically goes like this:

Avatar Legends of The Arena – Backstory

There is no Avatar Watching the land, but the world is at peace.”  Benders from the world over come to the Arena to compete in friendly combat to see who the best Bender is.”  Create your own bender and compete with thousands from around the world.

Overall the game was fun while it lasted but was a bit of a disappointment.”  Our main complaint was that the controls were to clunky.”  But it’s an Avatar PC game, and those are quite rare, we’re glad they at least attempted a game like this.

What we liked:

  • Customizable Characters
  • The Backstory was “slightly” interesting
  • Cool Bending Moves
  • Multiplayer

What we didn’t like:

  • Clunky Control System
  • Only one map?
  • Unbalanced

Overall if you are an Avatar The Last Airbender Fan, you should give this game a shot.

When I played it you create your own character but they all look almost exactly like Aang :) not a whole lot of depth to the game.

So did they just give up on this game? I don’t see any recent chat about it. When you try to play online it just keeps saying “waiting for other players”, which people were calling a glitch back in Sep ’08.

    Thanks.

Yeah when I played I was able to play some kids who kicked my butt. It may have died off completely now, unfortunately it wasn’t the best game in the world.

Some big game company should make a PC MMORPG based on the show. Like fully customizable characters picking your element/nation and like more specifics like north/South water tribe and warrior/healer for waterbenders, or Colony/Fire Nation/Mercenary and nobility or villager Firebenders. Also a skill tree and levelling up by fighting bosses based on spirits and monsters like beihei or the face stealer from the show. They could do like for firebenders, you could either completely master firebending and learn special moves, or branch off into lightning bending as well and do both, or Earth/Metal ,etc. No avatars though! Everyone has a favorite and thats what they pick! The graphics/gameplay could be like an updated version of The “Avatar: The Last Airbender The Game” for the playstation 2. And armors, and war paint or scars like Zuko’s or
a tattoo like Combustion Man’s in the Character Creation screen!

And i almost forgot! You could have mounts like the Shirshu for mercenaries, or Appa for air nomads, Lizard-Eels or whatever they’re called, etc. And you could have momo for a pet or a Messenger Hawk or whatever!
