Inspired by an Avatar The Legend of Korra Wishlist put together by UGO.com and a Korra Wishlist put together by members of our Avatar Community.” We decided to put together the things that we think Avatar The Last Airbender fans want to see in the upcoming Spin off to Avatar The Last Airbender entitled Avatar The Legend of Korra.” Check out the biggest things we want to see in Korra.
Resolve Un-Resolved Plot Points
Pretty much everyone, and their dog wants to know what happened to Ursa, Zukos mom.
So there was some plot points in the original Avatar that were never fully answered, the largest of those of course is the fate of Zuko’s Mom Ursa.” Other plot points Avatar fans are hoping to be cleverly cleared up include the following:
- How did the various characters do in their new roles? For example, how did Zuko handle being the new Firelord.
- Original Characters posterity, we know we will already see Aang and Kataras posterity from Tenzin, but what about Toph, Sokka, and others?
- Did Appa and Momos respective races go extinct? Or will we see a recovering Flying Bison and Lemur race?

Hit the History Books of the Avatar world
Delving more into the history of the Avatar world would be very cool!
One of the most intriguing parts of Avatar The Last Airbender is its’ very interesting backstory and world history, flashbacks to more history would be very cool to see in Avatar The Legend of Korra.
The Avatar Spirit World
The Avatar Spirit world is mysterious and fascinating.
There were several references to the spirit world, especially by Iroh, further exploring those type of situations and area would make for some awesome scenes.
Props and References to the Original Avatar
Seeing the impact that the Gang had on the world 70+ years later would be very cool! Fan art Credit, http://rick0404.deviantart.com/
Aang and the gang definitely made some impact on the Avatar world, seeing that impact displayed in Korra would certainly be awesome, perhaps having cities named after them, people telling stories about them etc..
Also suggested would to find remnants of the Gang throughout the world, for example someone could stumble upon Sokkas Boomerang, and / or Space Sword.” Also some re-appearing animals (Appa and Momo, and the Screaming Birds)
The Animals of Avatar
The Animals in Avatar The Last Airbender were awesome! Hopefully some cool new ones pop up, plus looks at some already seen animals.
The animals in Avatar The Last Airbender were so creative, i’m looking forward to the new animals we can see in Korra, plus looks at some of the old ones.
More awesome Steampunk Technology
The Steampunk technology in Avatar The Last Airbender was awesome, Korra looks to have even better technology.
The cool looking steampunk technology is definitely going to be making a come back in Korra, and it’s probably going to be pretty awesome considering the world has probably advanced considerably and the “Anti-Benders” will probably have some pretty cool Anti-Bending tech.
More new bending styles
There were some cool bending styles learned in Avatar, some more cool ones would be great
Aang learned Energy Bending, Toph Learned Metal Bending, and Katara learned Blood Bending, what other cool bending configurations will be next?
Conclusion
With or without these things, I’m way excited for the next installment in the Avatar universe, hopefully the team will be able to fit as much of this as they can into the new series.

IM SO CONFUSED!!!!!!the thing that sucks is that i know aang is the last airbender. so if hes dead then wont the cycle be broken.i mean i know appa can airbend ect flying bison were the first airbenders! i know i know that senzin is an air bender but would if he dies without kids then the cycle will be broken eh. but if aang didnt have parents how did he get born? he could of just POOFED there but come on thats just weird.SO SOMEONE HELP!PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPLLLLLLLLLLLLLLZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m sure aang had real parents but the way the airbenders did things he probablynever met them buwe know aang has a son that can airbend in the new avatar so the cycle hasn’t been broken and it seems his son is a master airbender because he has to teach korra in the new show

–Something like a dedication to the Mechanic from the Northern Air Temple if he had something to do with the rise of steampunk technology (main inventor, or even inspiration like Da Vinci?). (It’s like a fast “Industrial-Revolution”-boom for the Avatar world,somewhat I guess!)
–Also, what happened to Long Feng? When the Dai Li were fired and/or banished by Azula, what happened to those guys?
–Who did Toph end up with?
– I also want to see Grampy-Sokka/Oldman-Sokka. (Who knows, maybe Korra came from his bloodline!*o*). But yea, I just gotta see a funny/cranky old guy do/say something Hi-larious.

agreed, except korra cant be from sokkas blood line because the avatar is never family to another avatar….. if korra was sokkas daughter, then she would be aangs niece

No thats resolved ,According to a Nick.com Statement After the Finale, she was taken to a mental Facility on a nearby island to be monitored around the clock.
If this is not Canon, then We dont know if jet is dead or if Comustion man Is dead as we got the confirmation of their deaths from nick.com.

I think they did “cloudbending” in several occations. For instance: when the Gaang was lost in the desert, or when Aang flew to the island where avatar Roku lived (and died), and even in two of their “chibi”-like episodes, lol. It’s kind of a water-based technique in which they manipulate mist, primarily for concealment; Aang, Katara and Master Pakku, are shown to use it in the series.

what i really meant was cloudbending for battle purposes, like shrinks a dense cloud around a person and then kinda immersing them in water.

Yes he seems to be the most Knowledgable Spirit, Korra might have to ask him something to solve a problem.
I guess another thing is more about the Avatar State will Korra have to unlock all 7 chakras or will she do it another way like Avatar Roku in Escape to the Spirit World 1. ?

Yeah that’s a good question, my guess is that it might be something unique to each Avatars “base” element, like you mentioned Roku unlocked the Avatar state in a different way then Aang.

actually, there shouldn’t even be another series. i’m not say i’m not dying in excitement, but remember the season 2 finale? well, Aang died in the avatar state. “Aang, if you die in the avatar state, the cycle will be broken and the avatar will cease to exist!” -Avatar Roku

The fact that he was brought back to life, and unlocked the Avatar state re-united the cycle.

I know a few things about the Avatar State,
-Aang was NOT in the Avatar State in 220,reason is unlocking that final Chakra would have given him control over the Avatar State, and when an Avatar has mastered the Avatar State their eyes glow on and Off to go in and out of the Avatar State,we saw Kyoshi do his and Roku and Aang in 321
-no one knows for sure but my thoughts are that he was just about to open his 7th Chakra when Azula’s lightning got him, she shot him right in the middle of his back, his tattoos are along the Chi paths of the body(flow of energy) so Azula blocked this flow, so when he his that rock it allowed the energy to flow unlocking the 7th Chakra, originally in that fight Aang was in the Defense mechanism Avatar State as he was glowing the whole time. He got out of it himself and went back in himself and used it to put out the Fire in the Wulong Forest not glowing.
-Yes Aang did Die in 220, but as he was not in the Avatar state it did not break the Cycle, In the Escape to the Spirit World comics Aang had to meet the previous 4 Avatars in the Spirit world to get the connection to the AVATAR STATE back not get the Cycle back. The reason a new Avatar was not born in the time Aang was dead was that a child was probably not born in the Water Tribe during this time.
-Even if he was in the Avatar State and died,and then Katara brought him back, he would only be able to Airbend so their would be no season 3 anything.
I am not going to go into the Katara side of this Avatar State vs Katara discussion, but i will make a thread in The Avatar World Section.

Eh did you even read my post,
[b]Aang Was NOT in The Avatar State[/b], the lightning did damage the Avatar State which Aang healed in The Escape From The Spirit World Comics, but it was just damage.
[b]Avatar Roku said the Avatar(and therefore teh avatar state) would be no more if he died IN the Avatar State, And Aang was not in it.[/b]
The more likely thing that could have happened in 220 was that during the time Aang was dead that a Child was born in the Water Tribe and was the New Avatar, But as Aang was only dead for a few minutes there was probably no time for a child to be born.
Aang did die it was confirmed by Mike and bryan, and if you can believe what they say what can you believe
Hmm, I guess I don’t think that so many references to the original avatar series are a good idea. I think ATLA was such a huge success in all aspects that people have an emotional attachment to it, so I’d say if you want the second series to succeed, it has to be its own thing. Sure, the avatar theme in itself is a connection, so you can’t avoid comparisons. But I’d limit the “blast to the past” kind of episodes, so viewers aren’t tempted to compare and contrast (and no matter how good the second series is, just the emotional attachment people have to the first will trump it.)

Well wood is basically dead trees, so i dont think it comes under any form of bending, Waterbending is closest but only on living trees because of the water in them

Well if the “Wood” is still part of a living Tree, wouldnt it go under Plant Bending.
If they introduced Woodbending that would retcon all of ATLA, unless its a sub category of one of the 4 elements.
is there going to be a series 4, because I am just dying to see another episode! There’s so many questions that should be answered and it would be cool if they set it 5 years later so that all the characters were much older!

Lol, yea there were a lot of teasers in the series…particularly the fate of Zukos mom. Also, I thought for just awhile Katara and Zuko would hook up! lol. Anyhow, I am dying to see where Zuko goes as Firelord and if his father ever comes back from the darkside hehe.

honestly…i dont want to see a new series. like a lot of people, you grow emotionally attached to the characters and their stories, and i just dont want this one to end. i want it to keep going. i want to see more of this one. i really dont know how this new one will fare, and though im sure it will keep up with the same atmosphere, it still wont be the same.

It’s to bad that we won’t get to see Katara, Zuko, Toph, Sokka, and Suki on Avatar: The Legend Of Korra. I was looking forward to seeing how they would look as adults. It really would be awesome to see them again. Looking forward to seeing it though. I hope they have new animals, contraptions, and I definitely hope that Tenzin looks a lot like Aang.

Personally, I believe the group finds Ursa in Ba Sing Se. That’s where everybody went to to start over, and that’s where the group was at the end of the series. Zuko also looked pretty happy, so I’m thinkin that is where she is.

Thats impossible. Ba Sing Se was taken over by the fire nation, so it would of been too risky for her to live there with her banishment and all. Even if she was staying there, she bailed before the fire nation took over. She’s probably living in some small Earth Kingdom village that the writers haven’t mentioned yet.

i think you forgot to mention one more form of bending: heat bending. this was shown only in one episode and that was “The Avatar and The Firelord.” towards the end of the episode when firelord ozia comes to help of avatar roku, they both battle the volcanoes. in one scene, we see firelord ozia bend the heat away from the volcano into the air (quite a brilliant move if i might add) thus cooling it down. it was the only time in the entire series i’ve seen someone do that.

LOL , But *Gets really serious” if they introduce any new Form Of bending that is not a subset of Air,Water,Earth or Fire that would retcon the whole series of Avatar The Last Airbender along with the whole Avatar universe.
*Back to joking* Where are all the Fartbenders did they get caught in the middle during the Elimination of The Air Nomads, LIGHTBULB- I have got it in 103 Gyatso and those Firebenders are dead because a fartbender used his last remaining piece of energy to end the battle but ended killing everyone with an absolute ripper of a fart.

I would like some reference of the gAang, lots of humor, seeing past Avatars in “The Spirit World” and most of all seeing Airbenders besides Tenzin. I would like to see some Monks. You know what I mean? Other than that you covered it all Jordash! Thanks again!

I just realized that the older guys from the fire nation have big bushy sideburns and I was wondering “Does Zuko get bushy sideburns?” because everybody is older in The Legend of Korra

Maybe not all the characters died because they were just teenagers so in The Legend of Korra they all just might be around they’re 70′s or 80′s and hopefully they’re still somewhat part of the series

I know it does seem odd that they all died at such a young age, especially in the world of avatar. Maybe they didn’t all die by natural causes and that there will be flashbacks of what happened to them because I know avatar roku died trying to save his home on crescent island when the two volcanos erupted so some characters might have died like that, but I’m not sure. But I can almost garauntee that we will see aang because I believe he will help korra learn about bieng the avatar like avatar roku helped aang.

there’s no way the new series won’t involve most of the characters from the old series in some way. Ang is already guaranteed to be in it…as well as katara. but yea, seeing them alive would be cool, along with some info on what happened between the two series…charcter wise.
I agree it will be hard to compete with the last series because it was as close to perfection as a show can get, I mean it had everything (comedy,action,intensity,love,etc) but I think the creators wanted a fresh start, a clean slate to start a whole new chapter into the avatar world. I would love to see flashbacks andf I’m sure there will be some (I hope) but I’m also excited to see brand new characters. The creators are very creative and can write a darn good storyline so I’m sure the new series will offer everything that A: TLA offered and perhaps even more. So I suggest that if your going towatch A:TLOK you shouldnt be constantly comparing to A:TLA becausee that’s not what the creators want, I believe they just want you to watch it and pretend like you never saw A:TLA while your watching it. I’m sad its only scheduled for 12 episodes .

alot of things were left unfinished at the end of book 3. and i slightly agree with whoever talked about a fourth book. but it would have been 3 episodes AT MOST so that wouldn’t work. and the thing about ang dying in the avatar state, the new season will probly either be based off it(highly unlikely) or will ignore the fact that it happened completly. probly the secound one because i’m 99.7% sure ang didn’t actually die. and lastly all i want to hear about in the new season is…whatver happened to that girl zuco went on a date with once while he was in ba sing say?? not a big character….but i still wanna know.

I was talking about when he was struck by azula’s lighting. but yes ang and most likely all of the old characters are going to die. that’s almost a given. also it would definatly be interesting to see a new world thats has anti-bending ideas. if so the storyline would most likely invole alot less bending(maybe) and would spend most of the storyline trying to make bending acceptable. anything can happen. which is the main reason i wanna see the new season.

We’re pretty sure there is going to be alot more Airbenders, Katara and Aang i’m sure were able to find lot’s of potential Airbenders to train throughout the world.

Well unless Aang’s energybending can actually give people the power to Airbend i don’t think they will find any Potential Airbenders around the world, seeing as Fire Lord Sozin attacked all the Air Temples and killed them all except Aang and there was no sign throughout ATLA that there were any more.
So unless Aang and Katara had alot of Cloud Babies, Tenzin and His children(if he has any) are the Only Airbenders we know of.

well i know all you guys left comments like 2 yrs agoish but katara is def in it, aang cant be cuz otherwise there would not b another avatar in the world. (2 avatars at the same time? i dont think so) Katara says sokka has passed away, along with a lot of her other friends.. zuko is apparently still alive but i dont know about toph
and i think there can b other airbenders in the world (possibly) because there HAD to b some intermingling between nations..its basically like cultures. If u have a air-water combo then u could get any mix of airbender, waterbender, or nonbender for kids. and btw, i think that Amon, the bad antibending guy in LOK, could b the middle child of katara and aang. their first kid was a waterbender, second NONBENDER, and third airbender tenzin. so that middle child who was a nonbender could have grown up despising bending, because: katara would have always been training 1st kid, and aang training tenzin. And that bending-stripping ability Amon has? maybe its in part from what aang could do( ya know, how aang took away the firelords bending), even if middle kid isnt a bender. not likely, but possible. or we could scratch all that and Amon could be someone completely different and a bender (secretly, obviously) who just wants power. or He could be sokkas kid (doubtful). ughh so many possiblities, i love it! 
anyway i am like obessed with TLA, but i am seriously estatic about how LOK is turning out, its amazing and im so happy with how they satistfied almost everybody 
anyway, haaaave a good week! 
oh and p.s.: i usually dont like the main characters, i go more for the sidekicks, and i esp dont like female characters cuz they make them so whiny and pathetic (katara is one kind of exception), but i really love korra. shes so strong and i love how they didnt try to reanimate kataras personality into stubborn/feirce korra. smart move.

I think it would be cool for a new water-bending technique called “Voice bending”Hard to understand for the most part, and complicated to do. But it is based off bloodbending.
So basicly, how I think it will work is that a bloodbender just focuses on the vocal cords, face/mouth muscles and the lungs. Since how one talked is air being traveled over the vocal cords and escapes the mouth which is shaped in the right way. So if a bloodbender is good enough they can make all that happen at once and have someone say simple things.

Its been known that Sokka was the best with the ladies through out the series. Wouldn’t it be interesting if the upcoming “legend of Korra” had three characters claiming to be Sokka’s children? One from Zuki…one from toph…and one from ty lee!hahahahahaha

sad that all the characters are gone but who knows a new
start may be good even though i will miss all of the old characters
like aang and katara and sakaa but hopefully it will have good
characters and korra is cool but i need a character voiced by mae
whitefield and one by zach eisten or it wont be complete to me i
think the old series could have had more stuff added on kataang was
left on a happy ending but not complete i feel that it will be good
even though the old series will be dearly missed and the creators
of the show have already announced that they will experiment 12
episodes at the beggining to see how everything goes and they will
continue it if it is sucsess but the thing that makes me wonder is
what is to become of the old series hope they dont take it off! if
they do i will be super sadface!

i was looking at the image of Korra that was released. I noticed that there were boat docks which could mean they fish there or the boats could be used as transportation.

I really wanted to know more about the Spirit World. Because, I think we might see Team Avatar in the Spirit World, but it is unconfirmed happened to the other mortals after their deaths, but Roku’s pet Dragon Fang was in the Spirit World with Roku and they both died at the sametime from the volcano. So I think that The gang is possible with Aang, because they are part of the team and Fang is the only member part of Roku’s team.

No EXACT date, What we know at the moment is that Korra is due to Air Mid 2012.
My guess would be sometime in June or late May. They pushed it back because Nick ordered the further 14 episodes.
We will keep everyone up to date if we hear anything.

Katara is the only one that is still alive in the new series and Tenzin had 3 kids that are airbenders and one on the way.And Aang and katara had 3 kids one is a waterbender and the other one is a non-bender or a waterbender and we still don’t know there names and we all know Tenzin is the youngest and is a airbender.And people who want to see the show continue they are making a comic called (Avatar the last airbender the promise part 1)They are going to be 3 parts. Part 1 is coming out Jan 2012, 25. I saw most of it and Aang is 14 and he got tall katara 16 she has a new stile and sokka 17 still funny and toph is 12 she has her own metal bending school.Zuko is going to plug the war back in and he is starting to turn into Ozie.And people who are KATAANG fans you are happy to know they call each other sweetie it is cute.But Sokka is kinda werded out by it and he says oogie you can look up the rest on google.And Aang parents are two Airbenders that gave him up to tha Air nomads.

I want to Know more about Blood Bending and if they are going to use it in LOK. The series is proven to be Darker then ATLA. So why not use it? Katara only used it once maybe twice but, honestly if i was a water bender i would use it. But only when i need to as a last resort thing.
Thats my question @airspeed and you answer this for me? any theories?

but at the same time ,i dont know, blood bending is kind of a scary ability..some ppl are saying that they want to have seen katara teach it to her waterbending kid, but honestly, idk. It forces your will over theirs, so that like, possesing someone, im with katara on that, i dont think its right. Thats really powerful and if it gets into the wrong hands…its unstoppable. how would you control that? im not sure you could. but I wanna see zuko. he was my fav character from before so im eager to see what became of him. I’m also glad we’ll learn about what happened to zukos mother because that bugged me all thru the last series and up until this one started
